Do you know someone who can share their story to help end Parkinson's for good?
You've told us that living in a society that cares about Parkinson's is critical.
Research carried out by Parkinson's UK shows that the public don’t understand the severity of living with the condition or how much it impacts on daily life - they often think it's 'just the shakes'.
Our 2019 campaign aims to change this. We want more people to understand the impact of the condition to help grow a movement of people that will end Parkinson's for good.
That's where you come in. We want to show the reality of living with Parkinson's and need your help to find real people with Parkinson's who could appear in our campaign.
What kind of stories are we looking for?
Parkinson's is a daily struggle and we want to share stories of people who can show this but don't let the condition define them. We want to hear about inspiring people with powerful stories who will grab people's attention.
Do you know someone who picks their children up from school every day even though they're struggling to move? Or someone who defies their anxiety to make the most of their passion for dancing in their local tango class? Or someone who uses a wheelchair and continues to enjoy day trips with their family?
If they've inspired you, they could inspire others too. And by sharing their story, they can help show the impact of Parkinson's on their lives and their passion.
Do you know someone willing to share their story for our campaign?
Let us know by completing the form below. We're currently putting together a list of stories that will make a huge difference to the success of the campaign.
We won't be able to use or respond to every story that's submitted. But for those not selected there will be other ways to support the campaign and we'll share more on this soon.
This form isn't consent to use the person you nominate's story, but consent to contact them and ask to use their story for this campaign or at some other point in the future - so please let them know we may be in touch.
