Does a Dat scan definite proof yes or no Parkinson's?
It was enough for my consultant, along with improvement of symptoms taking sinemet
look at this...
The straight answer appears to be no, though a positive scan is definitely proof of Parkinson’s.
A normal scan may not be definite proof that it is not Parkinson’s, and in surveys around 20% of folk who have been clinically diagnosed and treated for PD have normal scans. And many prescribed drugs can interfere with the interpretation of scans.
Why do you ask?
