Helpline: 0808 800 0303
My Mum feels terrible after every meal - could this be a blood sugar issue? Does anyone else have this issue, and is there anything that might help?
It might be worth giving our helpline a call on 0808 800 0303 and speaking to one of our advisers. We also have a lot of information on the website about diet and nutrition which you can find here.
They should also be able to help you with the other questions you've raised as well.
Tom - Digital Team
Parkinson’s slows everything down, including the intestine. Your mum may be getting delayed gastric emptying, a condition called gastroparesis, particularly is she feels over full, and a bit sickly and sweaty. It’s not likely to be a blood sugar thing. The best thing would be to discuss with the doctor who should be able to sort this out, possibly using medication.
All the best
Thanks both! Will give that helpline a go :)
