Thanks so much for the dispassionate honest account on issues with DBS. My neurologist has suggested it as a potential early treatment for me. I have had PD for 3 1/2 hrs and still function pretty well unless anxious. This means I have to limit my professional activities involving giving talks as the tremor is really noticeable and I get panic attacks for weeks beforehand. As this is something I can avoid and still work it may be better to wait. It's clearly a no brainer when functioning is significantly affected.
