Last summer we read how UCDA, a drug already treating another ailment, would possibly slow PD progression. As it is already tested it would save years of trials. When can we expect a progress report on this?

There are no studies showing that UCDA has effect on Parkinson's Disease. UCDA is not involved or required for dopamine formation as it would need to be in order to benefit Parkinson's Disease.

Last September, 2015, it was claimed to be benefical for LRRK2 (PARK 8) which is a genetic form of Parkinson's Disease. However, it did not demonstrate any effect on Parkinson's Disease symptoms : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26253449
