Dementia care experiences to share?

If you live in England and have been affected by Parkinson’s dementia, or are a family member or carer of someone with Parkinson’s dementia and have had to deal with moving between hospital or care home, or vice versa, you can share your views for an important piece of work.

The Care Quality Commission or “CQC”, the inspectorate that looks at the quality of care services in England, wants to hear the experiences of people with dementia and their families who have been admitted to hospital from a care home and also those who have been discharged from hospital to a care home in the last year.

This is part of their review of the quality of services for people with dementia, which over the past few months has meant visits by inspectors to around 150 hospitals and care homes.

You can either fill in the survey, email, or telephone the CQC’s freephone number. The survey is open to end of February.
