Walk for Parkinson's - Dunham Massey Village 2018
Join us for our Walk for Parkinson’s around Dunham Massey and the surrounding countryside.
- Start and finish: Rope & Anchor pub, Dunham Massey WA14 5RP
- Minimum sponsorship: £50 suggested
- Registration fee: £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s
- Registration opens: 8:30am
- Start time: 9:30am
- Route: 2 miles and 8 miles
Join us for a 2 mile or 8 mile walk along the Trans Pennine Trail and the Bridgewater Canal. Enjoy views across to Dunham Massey Hall and the surrounding deer park, before rejoining the Trans Pennine Trail to finish the walk back at the Rope & Anchor pub.
What you'll receive
Take part in a Walk for Parkinson’s in 2018 and help raise vital funds for people affected by Parkinson’s. Every step will take us closer to a cure.
All our walkers will receive the best support from us, including:

- Fundraising advice, including a fundraising pack
- Support with your training
- A finisher's medal
Toilets: There are toilets at the Rope & Anchor pub.
Car park: Please park in the Rope & Anchor car park.
Accessibility: The short route is entirely on the Trans Pennine trail so is suitable for all. The longer route also includes sections along the canal towpath which in places is uneven and not paved and therefore not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Dogs are welcome on the walk but must be kept on leads.
Refreshments: Water will be available at the start and finish of walk and refreshments are available at the pub after the walk.
Walk packs: which include your walk T-shirt and number will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the walk.
Registration: Please note registration closes 1 week prior to the event. On-the-day registration will be available but will be cash only and will cost £15 for adults and £7.50 for under 16s.
