Walk for Parkinson's - Dunham Massey Village
Join us for our Walk for Parkinson’s around Dunham Massey and the surrounding countryside.
- Start and finish: Rope & Anchor pub, Dunham Massey WA14 5RP
- Minimum sponsorship: £50 suggested
- Advance registration: £12 for adults and £5 for under 16s
- On-the-day registration: £15 for adults and £7.50 for under 16s
- Registration opens: 8:30am
- Start time: 9:30am
- Route: 2.5 miles and 8 miles
Join us for a 2.5 mile or 8 mile walk along the Trans Pennine Trail and the Bridgewater Canal. Enjoy views across to Dunham Massey Hall and the surrounding deer park, before rejoining the Trans Pennine Trail to finish the walk back at the Rope & Anchor pub.
We suggest that all walkers aim to raise at least £50. Your entry fee goes towards the cost of organising the walk, but by raising £50 in sponsorship, you can make a huge difference to the lives of people with Parkinson’s.
Toilets: There are toilets at the Rope & Anchor pub.
Car park: Please park in the Rope & Anchor car park.
Accessibility: The short route is entirely on the Trans Pennine trail so is suitable for all. The longer route also includes sections along the canal towpath which in places is uneven and not paved and therefore not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome on the walk but must be kept on leads.
Refreshments: Water will be available at the start and finish of walk and refreshments are available at the pub after the walk.
Walk packs: Your walk T-shirt and fundraising pack will be sent soon after your registration and your number and on the day information will be sent the week prior to the walk.
Registration: Please note registration closes just over a week prior to the event. On-the-day registration will be available but will be cash only and will cost £15 for adults and £7.50 for under 16s.
