Join the Parkinson's UK East Midlands Research Support Network for the 9th annual Research Forum.
Now in its ninth year, the East Midlands Parkinson's Research Forum is a hugely popular annual event in Loughborough, organised by the local Parkinson's community and supported by Parkinson's UK.
To secure the future of the Forum and to provide a bigger and better event, a small charge of £10 per ticket has been introduced this year. Even so, the event continues to be subsidised by local branches and Parkinson’s UK.
The East Midlands Research Support Network is very grateful for funding for this Forum from Leicester and Nottingham branches of Parkinson's UK, as well as money given in memoriam from some special people from the Derby Branch who had an interest in research.
The event features talks from top Parkinson's researchers, healthcare professionals and Parkinson's UK staff. Speakers will include:
- Prof. Perdita Barran (University of Manchester)
- Prof. David Dexter (Parkinson's UK)
- Prof. Flaviano Giorgini (University of Leicester)
- Dr Heather Mortiboys (Sheffield Institute of Translational Neuroscience (SITraN))
- Dr Simon Stott (Cure Parkinson's Trust)
In addition to a packed speaking agenda, you will be able to visit information stalls on all things Parkinson's, including exercise classes, reflexology, devices and gadgets to support people with Parkinson’s, and much more!
Lunch and refreshments will be provided and parking at the venue is free.
