Write and reply to posts

Forum members can share information and support by starting topics and writing and replying to posts.

Before you post on the forum

Here are a few things to think about before you post on the forum:

  • Do a search to see if there's already an recent conversation on the subject you’re interested in.  You might find your question has already been answered. Otherwise, you can post a reply on the existing topic.
  • Check that your post is placed in the correct place in the forum. Each section of the forum is introduced by a post called a 'sticky' that provides details about the subjects covered in each area.
  • Use descriptive titles for new topics. Avoid generic titles such as 'Help' or 'Question'.  Not only are descriptive titles more useful to people browsing the forum for information but you are more likely to receive a better response.
  • Don’t post the same post on different forums. Multiple posts do not improve your chances of getting a response.
  • Be sure your post is relevant to the topic. Off-topic or irrelevant posts can interrupt an ongoing conversation. These might be removed or the moderator might close the topic and suggest that a new discussion be started.
  • If you are not sure if it is appropriate to submit a post, take a look at the forum rules or contact the forum team at [email protected]
