Stonegate Pub Company (Midlands Division) will be partnering with Parkinson’s UK until the end of September 2017.
Supporting the We Won't Wait campaign
Over 120 Midlands based community pubs, owned by the UK’s largest independent pub company, have joined forces to raise £65,000 for the We Won’t Wait research campaign by challenging each pub to raise £500, whilst the field based team are planning their ultimate fundraising challenge for September.
The pubs decided to get on-board after a vote, as one of their colleagues shared their personal experiences as a relative of someone living with the condition.
A variety of activity
From traditional pub quizzes, music festivals, sweepstakes to an Ibiza-themed beach party (with imported sand), there will be lots of opportunities for staff and customers to have fun, raise money and learn more about Parkinson’s UK.
Alyson Smith, Regional Fundraising Manager for the West of England adds: “Staff and customers at the Stonegate Pubs started their local events just after Parkinson’s Awareness Week, with such a variety of fundraising activities.
Regional Fundraisers are meeting bar staff at cluster meetings to support them with their fundraising events, but just as importantly, giving them information on Parkinson’s UK and how they can support their customers with the condition”.
