Andover - Events

Here you can find details of the events and meetings the Andover Support Group is planning:

Meetings

Fourth Friday of the month. There is a welcome for those affected by Parkinson's and anyone willing to become a group supporter. We look forward to getting to know you. Join us!

Meetings are at 2.30pm-4.15pm at Bridge Street Methodist Church, Bridge Street, Andover SP10 1BL unless otherwise stated.

  • 24 November 2017 - Speaker, Paul Mayhew-Archer (writer of BBC's The Vicar of Dibley)
  • December 2017 - Christmas Meal. Date tbc.

There is 'tea and chat' at all the meetings.

Activities

Occasional changes made - please make contact to check (for contact details please see our homepage).

Physiotherapy - first and third Fridays of the month at 2pm at Andover Memorial Hospital gym.

Loud and Clear, speech and language training - second Friday of the month at 2.15pm at Bridge Street Methodist Church.

Monthly pub lunch as a group

Rotations Charity Shop

When: 17 March to 30 March 2017, 9.30am to 4.30pm
​Where: 14 London Street, Whitchurch, Hampshire, RG28 7LQ

A chance to sell all the usual ‘charity shop goods (not electrical) and raise funds for Parkinson’s UK/research and local group activities.

Andover Library window, foyer and counter display

When: 13 February to 18 February 2017
Where: Chantry Centre Shopping precinct - centre of town

A chance to share the Parkinson’s Awareness Week theme with Andover Library users – and Chantry Centre shoppers.

Wildhern Open Gardens

When: Sunday 9 April 2017, 2pm to 5.30pm
Where: Wildhern Village Hall, near Andover, SP11 0JE

Local village gardens open to the public, plus  refreshments in the Village Hall with Parkinson’s Awareness Week publications on display.
