Bala Lake Challenge

Good luck to our 14 supporters taking on this challenge at the weekend!

Bala Lake
  • When: Saturday 12 May 2012
  • Where: Bala, Gwynedd
  • Distance: 7, 8, 14 or 20 miles

Organised by the Rotary Club of Bala and Penllyn, the Bala Challenge is a series of walks around Bala Lake / Llyn Tegid - the largest natural lake in Wales.

Starting at Bala on the north side of the lake, you will climb the surrounding hills, with views of the lake and the Arenig mountain range. Open moorland, forestry, tracks and roads - the Bala Challenge has it all.

20 supporters took to the shores of Bala Lake in May 2011. A fantastic £700 was raised to help fund our vital work in Wales.

Stephanie Streat, who has Parkinson's, and her husband Martin completed the 8-mile course in 4 and a half hours. Read their story on the Mangar International website.

Bala Lake Challenge 2011Across Wales Walk
