Quayside Walk, Newcastle

A huge thank you to our 108 walkers who took part in our Quayside Walk on Saturday 14 April 2012!

Despite the initial overcast conditions, our band of merry walkers took in the beautiful sights of both Newcastle and Gateshead quayside.

Our walkers came from right across the North East region and were also joined by a party of 17 from Liverpool.

Many of our walkers were captured crossing the finishing line by the local ITV news cameras.

Arun Malhotra, our North East Regional Fundraiser said:

"We were delighted that so many people came along to take part and had such a great time in our first ever walk in the region.

"A very big thank you to all of our walkers - and all of the volunteers who helped to make the event a success."
