Colne Valley Walk
Well done to our 68 supporters who helped us launch
Parkinson's Awareness Week in our 2012
Colne Valley Park Walk on Sunday 15 April!
On a
beautifully sunny but cool day, 68 ardent supporters of our work
set off to walk 2, 5 or 12 miles from Colne Valley Park Visitor
Centre.
Despite its proximity to the M40 and M25 motorways and the
metropolis, this tranquil expanse of nature provided a stunning
location for the walk.
Supporters took in the picturesque Buckinghamshire villages,
farmland, woodland and the Grand Union Canal.
With large families to solo walking devotees, and a 7 month old
puppy, the walk was a great success, raising over £10,000 for our
search to find a cure. As walkers
finished, they were delighted with the refreshments kindly provided
by Aureus Care and their well deserved medals!
