Colne Valley Walk

Well done to our 68 supporters who helped us launch Parkinson's Awareness Week in our 2012 Colne Valley Park Walk on Sunday 15 April!

Parkinson's UK supporters Anna Li, the Tam family and friends after completing our 2012 Colne Valley WalkOn a beautifully sunny but cool day, 68 ardent supporters of our work set off to walk 2, 5 or 12 miles from Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre.

Despite its proximity to the M40 and M25 motorways and the metropolis, this tranquil expanse of nature provided a stunning location for the walk.

Supporters took in the picturesque Buckinghamshire villages, farmland, woodland and the Grand Union Canal.

With large families to solo walking devotees, and a 7 month old puppy, the walk was a great success, raising over £10,000 for our search to find a cure. As walkers finished, they were delighted with the refreshments kindly provided by Aureus Care and their well deserved medals!
