Calke Abbey Walk

Congratulations to our 391 supporters who took part in our Calke Abbey Walk on 22 April 2012!

They hope to raise £15,000 to help us make a difference to the lives of those affected by Parkinson's.

With challenging unsettled weather made up of sunshine, showers and hail, our walkers enjoyed a 2 or 9 mile walk around the parkland of Calke Abbey and the picturesque Staunton Harold Reservoir in South Derbyshire.

2012 Calke Abbey Walkers Sue Crutchley, Tony Crutchley, Jade Crutchley, Paige Crutchley, Amie Wain and baby Ava Wain. The rain showers made the walk a bit more of a challenge for everyone, but the atmosphere was fantastic from all who took part, keeping the walkers in great spirits!

Jessica Storer, Regional Fundraiser in the East Midlands said:

"We were delighted that we had more supporters taking part this year and that they had such a great time in the April showers! A very big thank you to all our walkers - and all the volunteers who helped to make the event a success."
