Trek Toubkal 2013

Conquer the summit of North Africa's highest mountain

Mount Toubkal
  • When: 2-7 September 2013
  • Where: Mount Toubkal, Morocco
  • Registration fee: £199
  • Minimum sponsorship: £1,950
  • Free day in Marrakech

The High Atlas mountains run south west through Morocco. They are remote, barren and awe inspiring. Mount Toubkal is North Africa's highest mountain.

The challenge - what to expect

Your challenge is to trek steep, rocky terrain over 3 days, to reach the summit of Mount Toubkal, at a height of 4,167m.

The route takes in colourful villages, witnessing the local way of life. The ancient and bustling city of Marrakech is a rewarding end to this incredible experience.

It was an incredible experience, which I will never forget! I walked with a wonderful team of diverse characters, and the support from them was amazing.

To do it for Parkinson's UK - a cause close to my heart - made it even more special.
