Volunteers
are an important and valued part of the Parkinson’s Disease
Society. Together, staff and volunteers help to meet the needs of
people with Parkinson’s and their carers; locally and nationally
across the UK. This would not be possible without the contribution
of our volunteers.
PDS is involved in many different
activities, from fundraising and campaigning to research. There are
several ways for people to get involved:
Volunteer at a local support group
Volunteers, who are generally people with Parkinson’s, their
families and carers, run our network of 330 branches and support
groups. These groups vary in what they do and the support they
provide - to find out more get in touch
with a group local to you.
Media volunteering
Do you have a story to share? We are always
looking for people with Parkinson's, carers and professionals who
are willing to share their story with the media. Read more on our
Media volunteers.
Perhaps you’re interested in helping to ensure that
everybody affected by Parkinson’s knows about the PDS and members
of the public understand Parkinson’s. If so, get in touch with our
on 020 7963 9370 or email: pr@parkinsons.org.uk
Cards for good
causes
The Parkinson’s Disease Society is able to continue and
expand our work, activities and support for people with Parkinson’s
only because of the generosity of thousands of people and
organisations who give their time in support of our work. We are
profoundly grateful to all of you.
