The awards offer great encouragement and a way for people with Parkinson's to identify and develop their creative capacity.

The Mervyn Peake Awards are a celebration of the creative talents of people with Parkinson's.

We aim to encourage and inspire creativity in memory of the late artist and writer Mervyn Peake (1911–1968), a much-admired artist and writer who had Parkinson's.

The 3 categories people enterered this year were:

  • Art
  • Photography
  • Poetry

Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each category at our awards reception in London on Friday 12 July 2013.
