Date – Wednesday 10 December 2008
Time – 7pm
Venue – Central Hall, Westminster, London
Our annual Carol
Concert is a wonderful festive celebration and a chance to enjoy an
evening of music, singing and readings – followed by a glass of
mulled wine and a mince pie!
The evening will be hosted by Jane Asher, PDS President, with
readings from our special guests Richard Briers, Michael Palin,
Phyllida Law and Bill Neely.
We are delighted that the Wessex Male Choir
will be leading the concert for us, having recently been awarded
the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Choral Festival 2008.
There will also be performances from the
Crystal Palace Band and Sing for Joy, a choir for people with
Parkinson's and related conditions.
This year, we are at the fantastic new venue of Central Hall,
Westminster. This unique building was opened in 1912 and is located
across the road from Westminster Abbey and the Houses of
Parliament. Today, the Great Hall plays host to the Methodist
church, as well as a wide ranging programme of concerts,
conferences and other events.
