Ever fancied doing more than just a run? Why not combine
swimming, cycling and running, and 'tri' a triathlon?!
You will develop new strengths and go a step further to help
people with Parkinson's.
Triathlon types
There are different types of triathlon from the total beginner
to the seasoned triathlete! Whatever your goal, there is a
triathlon to suit you.
Super Sprint:
- Swim 400m (0.25 miles)
- Bike 10km (6.2 miles)
- Run 2.5km (1.5 miles)
Sprint:
- Swim 500-750m (0.5 miles)
- Bike 20km (12.4 miles)
- Run 5km (3.1 miles)
Olympic:
- Swim 1.5km (0.93 miles)
- Bike 40km (24.85 miles)
- Run 10km (6.21 miles)
Half-Iron man:
- Swim 1.9km (1.2 miles)
- Bike 90km (56 miles)
- Run 21.09km (13.1 miles)
Iron man:
- Swim 3.8km (2.4 miles)
- Bike 180km (112 miles)
- Run 42.195km (26.2 miles)
Team Relay:
a team of three complete one leg each (Olympic or sprint
distance)
