Sevenoaks Branch
We offer information, friendship and support to local people
with Parkinson's, their families and carers.
Our branch meetings usually feature a speaker on Parkinson's or
other interesting topics. We have a library of Parkinson's
information resoruces - and also hold a raffle and a bring and buy
to raise funds for the branch. Refreshments are provided after the
speaker.
We also host a 'Drop-in and Activities Centre' 3 times a
month on a Monday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. Members and
friends are welcome to drop in for a friendly chat with light
refreshments. Activities include painting and yoga and there is the
opportunity to learn more about Parkinson's.
Other activities include:
- a singing group, twice monthly (except August) on a Friday from
2.30pm to 3.30pm, to help with breathing and speaking
- exercise classes, open to all members with Parkinson's, held
every Thursday afternoon
- a series of 6 hydrotherapy sessions provided by our local
hospital twice a year, depending on the availability of the
facilities
- an annual outing and a New Year's lunch
- indoor bowls twice monthly
