Dr Martin Schroeder, a Parkinson's UK funded researcher will be
hosting a visit to his lab for our supporters which will include a
talk about his research, a tour of the facilities and plenty of
time for questions.
Inflammation in the brain may be involved in
the death of nerve cells in Parkinson’s. Martin will be discussing
his study which is exploring what triggers this inflammation
in the brain, which may help to develop treatments that reduce
this.

World Parkinson Congress 2013
- When: 1-4 October 2013
- Where: Montréal, Canada
We're a partner in the third World Parkinson Congress (WPC).
The congress gives researchers, people living with Parkinson's,
healthcare professionals and Parkinson's organisations the chance
to meet, share and inspire each other.
A small delegation from Parkinson's UK will travel to Montréal
to showcase our work and learn from others around the world. We
need some volunteers who are affected by Parkinson's to join us.
And there are other ways to get involved too.
