Themed research workshops

Organising a workshop will help you bring the right people together, get to the heart of complex issues and stimulate new research ideas.

Applications are open from 24 November 2011 on an ongoing basis.

Purpose

Themed research workshops will be led by 1 or 2 researchers. They will work with Parkinson's UK to bring people together to focus on a key research topic.

The workshops may involve:

  • discussing an emerging topic of scientific importance in Parkinson's
  • developing an innovative or translational research idea
  • stimulating cross-discipline discussions

Outcomes

Organising a workshop will help you bring the right people together, get to the heart of complex issues and stimulate new research ideas.

Outcomes must be agreed with Parkinson's UK at the outset and will be followed up after the workshop.

These could include:

  • applications for research grant funding
  • publications such as discussion papers or review articles
  • setting up a research consortium

Eligibility

We encourage applications from basic scientists, clinicians and healthcare professionals based at UK research institutions.
