Research Advisory Panel
The Research Advisory Panel is made up of a diverse group of 31
research experts and members of our Research Support Network. Together they
help us decide which projects to fund.

What the Research Advisory Panel does
The Research Advisory Panel meets twice a year to discuss the 2
rounds of project
grant applications received each year.
Panel members also participate in our career development
awards, PhD
studentships and innovation grant schemes.
Finally, the panel reviews progress and results from projects
through the interim and final reports provided by grantholders.
Ensuring accountability and transparency
"As
a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities
(AMRC), Parkinson's UK meets very high standards in the
way it gives out its money.
"It funds high quality research, which is carefully peer
reviewed, and seeks to involve patients and the public in setting
its research priorities.
"Those who donate to the charity can have confidence their money
is helping to advance understanding and improve life for people
with Parkinson's."
Sharmila Nebhrajani, chief executive of the
AMRC, a membership organisation of the leading medical and health
research charities in the UK
