Our research strategy is focused on finding a cure for Parkinson's.

This guides our research funding but we continue to support innovative Parkinson's research across all areas.

Deadlines

A new translational research grants scheme is available for application this spring. The deadline for this is Monday 21 May 2012.

The next deadline for project grant applications is Monday 1 October 2012. A decision is expected by April 2013.

Duration

The duration of a grant is usually 2 to 3 years.

Extension of a grant beyond 3 years is exceptional and requires formal re-application.

Eligibility

These grants tackle major research challenges with groundbreaking studies that get right to the heart of complex problems.

Grants are tenable only at a United Kingdom university, NHS Trust, statutory social care organisation or other research institution.

Principal applicants should hold employment contracts that extend beyond the period of the grant.
