I have to agree with that Mrst! I think there's something strange about anyone who's not interested in music!

I don't particularly know anything much about The Lovin' Spoonful, I just enjoy listening to them. Ray's story about John Sebastion, brings us back to Parkwife and her choice of Splendor in the Grass, the title just made me think of "Get Back" and the reason why Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona and headed for California...

As for Mungo Jerry, our friends birthday party would have been in March 1970, and apparently the band had everyone stomping their feet on the hall floor and having a great time. Then a little while later the record was released and everyone recognised them as the band at the party! I was sick as a parrot that I'd missed it!!***

Changes - Black Sabbath

Apart from the content being good song writing the title seems to be the story of my life.

Oh dear I have been thrown into confusion. Are we putting our all time favourites down now... I keep putting off posting because I can't decide but I want to keep this thread going so....

Ave Maria (Bach Version) Maria Callas... I really don't have a favourite but I always say I want this at my funeral so it must be up there.

And playing in the other way

Wrecking BALL Emmylou Harris.. (Love it!)

I have a friend who really doesn't do music. She is a clever lovely creative person but doesn't get affected by it... weird eh??

Hi Parkwife,

Really pleased to see you back. I got a bit confused about what was going on now and I just thought oh s*d it I want to put those two down, so I did!

I think my very all time favourite is "Fool on the Hill" by Paul McCartney from the album "Tripping the Live Fantastic". That was just about my favourite song anyway, but also that particular version was recorded on a night when I and my hubby were in the audience. On the same album there is also "Twenty Flight Rock" recorded the same night, that's a particular favourite as well.biggrin

Anyway, I'll be a good girl and just follow what everyone else does in future. Although that may mean just you and me - actually I tell you what, let's just make it up as we go along!wink

Hi Parkwife,

Hope you're well.

I know that I've put this one before, but it's a huge favourite with beautiful words:-
