The fact that you have been asked to start coaching again is simply fantastic. You must feel very good about yourself. You still must have loads of vital experience to share. When I do the odd tutoring sessions I feel good.

Go girl.

Hi Alij,

Great news that you have been invited to help with coaching, go for it girl it will help your confidence no end.
I watched the opening ceremony last night and have been watching this morning, I don't know about you but there are to many advert breaks today so I rang channel 4 to complain as it is not fair to the competitors or those at home like us, such a shame. I also said they do some very good programmes about disabilities but this is a once in a lifetime chance for everybody what do you think, I don't like to complain but it is disappointingly.
best wishes
vivian

Hi ali j,
I am pleased you are enjoying the Paralympics. It is indeed inspiring.Exercise is an important factor in any persons life.It can be enjoyed by anybody,no matter how able or unable they may be.Exercise can be undertaken at any time of the day.Clench a hand into a fist. This is exercise.Feel the muscle in your forearm move.Resiliently hold your arm aloft and say"I will not be beaten".
The athletes competing in 2012 Paralympics do that.I admire them all.You know that like yourself,I was always extremely sporty. Before the Olympic games,I had started a small exercise routine, plus plenty of walking.I realised that this was one of the things I loved the most, and I had given up on it when Parkinsons struck.I have ditched my car, which helps. The feel good factor is the same as it has ever been.It makes you feel better about yourself.Adds structure to the day.
The Paralympics has further enforced this view.I admire and am further inspired by every one of the competitors and all the carers and coaches and those involved behind the scenes.
I am pleased that it has done similar with yourself. The coaching sounds like a really positive thing.I hope you enjoy it,after the difficult times I know you have had.
Now then,I'm going to make myself a relaxing cup of Camomile tea.Yes,I'm on a healthy diet too.I have been reading a lot, there are many changes in my life.
Take care
Titan
