I have just had a new tattoo to show my strength and determination to stay strong despite Parkinson's
My new tattoo includes 2 Parkinson's tulips and the motto My weakness is my strength.
I have been diagnosed with a rare form that is progressing quickly and less than 4 years in have been put on levodopa as dopemine agonists no longer work on there own.
I previously lost the use of my left leg but have always remained strong.
I now run a business alongside my daughter selling cakes, cupcakes, and offering outside catering and we also run a small cafe.
Life is hard and I am struggling at the moment but I never give up.
My motto is stay strong and you can achieve anything.

awinson - Definitely agree with radar47; your post has given us all a big smile in the office here too. We thought this would be a great story to share on our website 'What would a cure meant to you?' at
http://findacure.parkinsons.org.uk You can upload a photo with your story - though whether you want to do this will no doubt depend on where your tattoo is located which you didn't mention and I thought might be a bit forward to ask about... :)
Thanks again for sharing this. Liz
