Hi everyone,
As our friend Turnip seems to be on first name terms with 'Mike ' J. Fox, and as I don't fancy watching the box, I was thinking 'does anyone know or has met or just spoken to anyone famous'?
I’ll start off with those that I can remember:-
I have met and spoken to - Hank Marvin and Brian Bennett of The Shadows.
Tom Jones – quite regularly in the 60’s (Tommy Scott and the Senators in those days, at the local dance).
Irene Handle – actress
Patrick Campbell – he with the stammer, if you remember.
Gene Pitney
Jon Gregson –actor, in the New Theatre bar in Cardiff
Ray Smith – actor, quite regularly in another bar in Cardiff
Lord Carnavon – in a pub in Berkshire
Andrew Lloyd Webber- also in a pub in Berkshire, twice.
footballers Norman Hunter, Peter Osgood, Tommy Smith, Pat Jennings, and others
Alan Sugar, Tommy Docherty
Several MP’s inc Charles Kennedy and Leo Abse
Over the Atlantic - Trevor Eve and family, Dusty Springfield ,Connie Francis, Debbie Reynolds, Ian McShane and others
Dickie Davies
Art Malik
Lord King – BA, Douglas Bader, Lady Bader
William Devane – actor ( had dinner in his restaurant, and also sat & chatted with him in Palm Springs, whilst we waited for our wives to finish their shopping.
Several Welsh Rugby internationals
Oh and Max Boyce
Regards,
Mike.

Ali - very impressive, though I am surprised at you keeping company with conservative peers - you need to draw the line somewhere.

Hey Turnip,
Welsh is my nationality , English is just a language, and somewhere to pay excessive amounts of Council Tax.
My reply to a recent thread :-
I live in England ( I came up from Wales to educate the natives )
My Mother, and family came from Westbury Sub Mendip - England
My Father, and family came from Richards Castle - England
I support England in soccer, and almost any sport, and will give full support at the Olympics
But when it comes to Rugby I only support two teams :-
WALES, and whoever is playing against England.
Regards,
Taff.
