Hi !
Anyone else up ? Can't sleep , but not for usual Parkinson's reasons. A while ago , i had a fall and specialist found I'd had a bleed from Femur and Tibia bones in knee joint. I've been hobbling around on crutches for 12 weeks now, in the hope that it'll mend by keeping weight off the joint.
Some nights , i just can't get comfortable -- like tonight. So forgive me for talking to no-one , and wandering around the site looking for games to play !
I didn't think anything could be as bad as Pd, a few months ago, but coping with this is real hard.
Osteonecrosis of the Medial tibial plateau -- I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy sad

Hi Lorna!

The recommended solution is to stay put until you've solved my "Find the Actor" quiz.

5 down, 5 to go.

Good luck!

p.s. my missus had a replacement knee fitted not long ago. You can have the old one if you like.

Ray.

Good afternoon Tootsie !
Am not too bad ( see above ! )
How are you doing , much more to cope with than me. Coming on here and doing a few games helps the time when i can't sleep, to pass.

Good to see you back on the forum Lorna. I don't seem to be able to keep away for long!
The stroke i had in March was a real wake up call and made me see how life with PD is better than no life at all! I was very lucky indeed as my husband recognised at once that it was a stroke (I had no speach) and an ambulance got me to the local hospital within 30 minutes . Fortunately I was able to be given a new "clot busting" drug and after being transported to a larger city hospital and a stay in their Stroke Unit I am back getting on with life with minimal damage.

I am so lucky and I know now that I must treat every new day as a gift, PD or no PD! biggrin
