I wouldn't say I was brave at all Puddley, it had got to the stage I could barely walk, sit, stand, lie down or drive because of the wicked pain I was always in. I would have had them both done at the same time but because of my liver disease it would have been to dangerous to be out for any longer than one operation at the time. I also have a latex allergy so I caused a lot of problems. The good thing about the allergy was I was first down for operation as the theatre had to be striped clean of all latex.
I have a strange feeling that my right knee will need replacing before long.
Glad your dinner was not burnt.
Mosey, glad your eyes have been sorted out hope you feel the difference really soon.

Good morning Badgers,
Blimey Radz a real Bionic person, all those robotic bits.lol MY daughter is allergic to latex too!!WE only found thsat out when she was 18 and got a boyfriend!!!
Both myself and my cousin were nurses, so we both know how difficult it is in theatre when someone has a latex allergy!
I've just popped down here for a few minutes to check everywhere is neat and tidy and to sit in the quiet while I wait for my morning meds to kick in, I have about ten minutes when I get out of bed before the tremors really get going. and about forty minutes till the meds kick in and things calm down a bit. I could take them before I get up I suppose, I know my Aunt used to but I'd rather be up. At least I can have my first nicotine fix and a cuppa in peace before the others get up and want this that and the other all at the same time!!I do like my bit of m'me' time first thing. otherwise I@m a grouchy old badger all day!
I wonder where the others all got to yesterday? I hope you're all alright.
Glad you got the ok with your eyes Mosie. [::cool::)
Where are you Ray of Sunshine? We miss you! Better fish to fry, I guess??
And you too PB and AB ?

Puddley, when I am feeling somewhat under par I tend to hibernate, which I know, strictly speaking , badgers do not. Nothing major, just a lot of niggles that add up to more than their sum.
But it's OK - badgers can stay underground in Winter for days without food. And whilst it may be May, Summer it certainly is not.
Found a recipient for the Cuban cigars my sister gave me - my ILS lady's father. Apparently he was a very happy man, not so sure about his wife though.
Take care all

Mornin' badgers,
It is a lovely sunny though windy morning here on the rock, guess I should not complain as you are having it really bad in England and Wales with the rain. Surely to God the hosepipe ban will be lifted.
Puddley, good job your daughter found out about the latex. My first operation was set back 2 weeks because it was never picked up in my notes. My consultant went mad, I wanted him to go ahead but he said he had never lost a patient on his table before and had no intentions for losing me. Still it is all done now.
Hello AB hope today is a good one for you.

puddley us badgers are nocturnal creatures, although admittedly those of us afflicted with this thing they call pd are not remotelely interested in the night/day divide. Curtains drawn - what's the difference.?
I hope to come out to play later, but then perhaps all others will be resting? 'tis a hit & miss affair as to whom we find here

Well' I'm here now and the sett is empty and quiet, except for a whiff of tobacco! Is that you Radz?
I often see badgers out at play late afternoon, although as you say for those ofus afflicted with pd do not really care whether its day or night, when sleep comes we grab it with both hands and eyes closed tight! I have to say the new pain relief has given me the 'out like a light' effect for the last week, only trouble is it lasts all day and I have domestic duties to try and fullfil! Like food and washing and ferrying them about. Although this weekend I am all alone, as Doc has gon off to teach for the O.U. for two days and Daisy goes home to Mummy on Fri for the weekend.
This grey old badger will be lost and liable to mischief and mistakes and staying in bed all day if she feels like it. Just getting up for the occasional drag on a fag and keeping the meds topped up.
I'm sorry AB, didn't realise you were off colour, and not feelng so bright, We've missed you, have a comfy chair, is there anything I can get for you? I've got my slippers on so I wont make too much noise as I shuffle about. Or I can just sit with you and keep you company?

If we can snuggle up quite tight, you may have the left headphone, me the right. I just hope you are not in Led Zeppelin mode, that does not for for my Mozart too well bode.
We have crackers and cheese , ginger beer, and please, should you care to stay nearby, your company I shall enjoy

Well hello there AB, nice to see you. Yes that would be nice a bit of motzart, no I'm not a led zep fan. I have quite a broad range of musical tastes. From way back Tudor stuff, Gregorian chant, plain chant, I especially love veni creator spiritus, the crusader hymn, love the voices of the monks and choir boys of Downton Abbey!
I like Leonard Cohen, Pet shop boys , Enrique, Andrea Bocelli. Loads . Doc took me to see Nigel Kennedy for my Christmas prezzy, he's fantastic.
I suppose you've nodded off now to the hum of motzart, what were you listening to?
I'd love to share a headphone with you but, you wouldn't like the volume level I need to hear anything, I have a 70% hearing loss so FULL Volume is all I can cope with!!
Anyway we can suggle up to keep warm, I'll chuck another log on the fire, there see isn't that nice ? I'll watch the pictures in the fire, I can see all sorts of things.

I love the company of other folk with pd, they really are the only ones who know what it's like, but I just wish the forum was more instant, you know I write a post, post it and get a response straight away, instead of having to wait all day somedays to see if anyone has answered back! LOl!!
