The Research forum is for people who have a common interest in research to exchange views, information and experiences on international research related to Parkinson’s.

Researchers are not permitted to advertise for volunteers on this site. Only studies that have been approved by Parkinson’s UK can be advertised this way.

We approve studies by checking that the appropriate paperwork is in place and by making sure that the research is authentic and suitable for people with Parkinson’s. For example, we check the ethics approval, which ensures that the research meets all the required ethics standards. This system is in place to safeguard people who participate in research studies. However, Parkinson’s UK posts about research studies should not be treated as advice or a recommendation to participate in any particular study.
