I do not know if this will help or not. my brother died on the 3/8/2009 he was told he had PD when he was 15 that was in 1975. towards the end of his life the doctor's were saying he might ofF had Mitochondrial.disorder. and not PD. It did not make much of a different to us. but it might make some difference to some one who has been told they have PD.

I really need some one to talk too. I am so afraid . I do not know if I am crying for my brother or my children. I have two sons aged 22 and 23 and both are showing signs of PD but they do not realize this. they are both going through tests but again they do not fully know why. can some one give me hope

Dear Biddy

I am so very, very sorry to read your tragic news re your Brother, and now your latest posting.
I have PD and would hope and pray on bended knees and shall do so, that your sons don't have for no other reason than for their good luck and health .......

Not being in the medical profession in any way or scientific in any manner I can't offer you any tangible hope, but what I CAN and WILL do, with love in my heart is offer you as much hope as any other human being can, and that of my faith which makes me think that stress and other factors, such as medication etc can cause Parkinson type symptoms without it ever being Parkinson's.

It has also not been proven to be hereditary plus there are many things other than Parkinson's which are very treatable and curable, so take heart Biddy........, easy said I know, I have two daughters............

Keep your hope alive, I have never heard of one let alone two siblings being struck with hereditary Parkinson's, check the website........

We are here, post away , you're not alone......

God Bless

Mike T.....
