Thanks this seems helpful to understand variety of stuff going on. I am a newcomer on this site:
(1) a PwP
(2) Aged 55 at diagnosis of Parkinson's (2 years after first concern)
(3) April 2011 I was diagnosed
(4) Yesterday started Azilect, first medication
(5) no other meds, but will build regular exercise into my treatment plan!
Aren't symptoms important too? I have rigidity and difficulties using hands and bending, etc, but no resting tremor

Care partner to John (morrisman)
Tremor in foot over 26 years ago maybe 30 years ago.
Significant tremor in hand 8/9 years ago.
Treated for Essential tremor.
Diagnosed with Parkinson's 6 years ago at age 62
Initially Requip,then Requip XL
Now Requip & Madopar.
Always been into strenuous exercise.
