I Oft wonder how I came to contract PD. I have three pet theories one of which people are ever declaring must be THE cause.
Is there anybody there who was involved with A-bomb tests in the 1950s and who thinks PD is related to that experience.

Hi scribbler,
I know this is what you didn't ask, but my brother was on Christmas Island during the 1950 s. He shows no sign of Parkinson's.

I was on The island only for a short while (Those giant crabs! WOW!).
OZ was where I came close up to radiation - and red back spiders.
Deeply adore your efforts in response to my obscure request - THANKS.

Hi Scribbler,
I too wonder what triggered PD in me. I have a theory that we all have a certain weakness in our bodies , mine being my nervous system, and something invades this weakness and causes sickness. I believe that my PD was triggered by Geopathic Stress. After I was diagnosed I had our home tested for the stress and low and behold there was a line of geopathic stress going right through our bed , this is the danger when we lie in the stress for anything up to 8 hours a night it breaks down the body causing all sorts of sickness. There were two lines of stress going through our home the other was passing through my sons bed right over his stomach and he at the time had serious stomach problems - since we moved his bed he is fine - me ALAS!
So scribbler this is my theory.

Scribbler, you talk of "contracting" PD as though it were a disease like malaria - something you could catch from someone else or from infected water and such. Using such words can lead to non-PwP's physically avoiding us, or not wanting to use the loo after we've been there. Careful!
Tulip, you speculate as to what "triggered" PD in you, possibly implying that it's something concrete lying dormant in everyone, just waiting for some psychological or external event to press the start button. This, in reality, only happening to around 0.2% of the population. A reasonable theory.
This all brings us back to the BIG question we all ask: WHY ME?
We all have our hypotheses, and of course there could be a myriad of different reasons why us, but I've given up wondering. Whatever the reason I've got it, and it ain't gonna go away! One day the researchers will no doubt find an answer and the mystery will be gone. Meanwhile we've learn that life simply ISN'T fair, and we have to live with that.
So in the meantime I'm saving what's left in my intellectual curiosity banks for contemplating much more important questions, like how many dimensions there are, the curvature of space-time and the significance of the golden ratio.
Merve.

Renee,
I had a fellow call who specialises in Geopathic Stress he had rods and a machine to read the levels. I am not sure where in the UK you could contact such a person but I will ask the chap that tested my house if you wish. There have been a huge amount of houses in the area tested positive for the stress - I got my neighbours up the road to have the house tested and there was a line going through their bed passing over the wifes pelvic region - she had been having a lot of problems and could not get pregnant - in town a woman of 45 died from a rare form of cancer and her son had the house tested and yes the line was going through her bed under her heart - there are lots of instance where people have died of cancer whose property tested positive for the stress - in this area many people test the land before they build houses so that they can set out the plans or lay a barrier to divert the stress away from their property - you should look it up on the web

Renee, it's Geopathic Stress, not geographic - there's a big difference! Geopathic Stress is all about ley lines and stuff. Some people call this a pseudo science. Up to you whether you believe it or not.
Merve.
