I was diagnosed with PD five years ago. It was the blackest day of my life, but time is a healer. I am now out of the tunnel and working hard on a project which is trying to fund a cure . If you would like to help me ('cos the day will come when you will be able to say 'I had PD) please go to http://www.pedalforparkinsons.co.uk

All

The Pedal for Parkinson's LE to JO'G 2009 has started.

Just a reminder to come along and support if you can.

Daily start / finish times and locations are on the web site as is a link to Just Giving where you can make donations.

I'll be joining the ride (with a couple of mates from the gym who "volunteered") on the 17th June from Oxford to Milton Keynes

Must be 52 years since I pedalled to JOHN O GROATS with a mate from school - I hope the roads are better now! It took us ten days from Liverpool but it wasn't sponsored. As I recollect the whole trip and return took three weeks and cost us £10 each - happy days.
The very best of luck to you in your efforts.
We hope the cure follows soon.

Hi David,

You're on your way!

I'm only attempting the 40 mile Oxford to Milton Keynes 'leg' on Wednesday 17th June, but my awe at what you and the other End to End'ers are attempting is inspiring.

Folks, it's not too late to sponsor David, myself or any other of the cyclists, to further continued research into the CURE for Parkinson's disease.

Details of David's website are available on pedalforparkinsons.co.uk

If you would like to sponsor me, please get in touch via the PD email facility giving your name, 1st line address and most importantly your postcode so that PDS can claim back, with Gift Aid, over 25% of your sponsorship from the taxes that you already pay (at no cost to yourself, for once!)

My name is cecilywatson and I abide at hotmail dot co dot uk.

The end of PD is coming!!!

With best regards, Cecily.

Hi Cecily

I'm also cycling the Oxford to Milton Keynes stage tomorrow - I'm bringing a couple of mates from the gym to keep me in a straight line!!!
Looking forward to it - weather looks as if it might be ok.

It's a mighty big challenge David G and Co are taking on and you have to admire their efforts - maybe I should start practicing now for the 2010 challenge??!!!

See you at the start tomorrow

All the best and take care

Thanks Mike T

Now that I have met the core group of the team and the other day riders I just like to say what a great bunch of people they are. True legends!! It was an honour to be able to ride with them for the day.
