Hello,
I never thought I would being doing this it just seems very strange.I was diagnosed with PD on 16/12/09 which was a relief knowing that there was something wrong me for well over a year but no-one could tell me what it was. I was beginning to think I was imagining it.
I am now on medication (ripinorole one 4mg slow release tablet per day) but every night between 6pm-10pm my hand shakes really badly and I also fall asleep for at least 45 mins. Does anyone know if this is the norm. I don't have a PD nurse to discuss anything with.
I feel as if I am left just to get on with it, but if this is right then I can. Basically it is just the unknown and it is quite scary.
I have read lots of your letters and you all seem to help each other so perhaps someone out there can give me some advice. Thanks

Hi Dustymiller
It is quite normal for you to fall asleep when taking Ropinerole.
You will find some very helpful information leaflets that you can down load,on the homepage. Also there is usually someone on line with advice or just to chat with
Good luck

Hello,
Having a bad day today, have had the shakes all day have no idea why.
I started back to work last Monday part time (job is quite stressful so can only phase myself back to full time) just now, working approx 3 hrs per day, after being away for 6mnth(had an operation last Sep't not connected with Parkinson).
Thinking that is why, could just be that I am tired. Finding it hard at the moment. Never mind tomorrow another day.
Hope you are all having a better weekend.
Thanks for letting me prattle on. DM
