Hi all smile

I am a 45 yr male, married 9 yrs to a wonderful lady, we have 3 children 18,16 & 11.
We live in Somerset, which we both love (I am from Cardiff & my wife is from Croydon).

I was a computer gaming shop manager up until 7 yrs ago, when I had the misfortune to hear the words "I'm sorry you have PD" my jaw dropped (I'm pretty sure most of you were the same). From then on I worked for 10 months when PD took a bigger role in my life.

Now I don't work,, but I try to keep myself occupied and maintain a good sense of humour/patience about the future wink.

I am very much looking forward to chatting with you :)

Hi Asyr,

I'm a newbie too.

I come from Caerphilly, although I live in Berkshire, and I worked in Cardiff ( where I was born ) for many years.

My mother came from WESTBURY SUB MENDIP in Somerset, oh and I have Parkies and had to give up work too.

So, we have a few things in common I guess .

I've enjoyed the forum for the last couple of weeks and I'm sure you will also.

Regards.

Mike.

Ali,

Don't be upset. I for one enjoy reading your posts and words of encouragement to the newbies. So what if there are some spelling mistakes we all understand the content of your posts.
Keep smiling

PD is a difficult disease to come to terms with and I think Ali deserves our support not criticism about some spelling mistakes. eek

I often make spelling mistakes due to fingers not working properly on the keyboard but oh well spell checker is a great thingsmile

Thanks for your post Bethankit.

What you're saying is really important.

This forum is here for the benefit of everyone affected by Parkinson's. Everyone should feel like they have something to contribute and no one should feel that they are being discouraged from posting because of spelling mistakes or other errors.

This has been a really vibrant period on the forum. I hope we can continue to treat each other with the respect we all deserve.
