Hi Steve, I've been with lots of different insurance companies over the years since dx, for various destinations, we usually take out an annual policy and to cover my pre-existing medical conditions it hasn't cost that much extra, it's best to get a few quotes as they do differ a lot, sorry I can't help more!

You'll find Liverpool Victoria helpful and accept PWP no problems, but it will depend on answering their questionare.

We have a Lloyds TSB bank account which includes free travel insurance even though I have Parkinsons, diabetes and hypertension. Not much help if you don't have an account with Lloyds but I know other banks have similar accounts.

I would seriously suggest you check with TSB re the "FREE" holiday insurance and ensure they know about your current condition and medical requirements, be clear as to want you want to be covered for and double check TSB's small print.
We had (and still do) it, but like all things in life you gets what you pays for, so we paid the £60 odd quid for peace of mind with Liverpool Victoria.

I've got free worldwide travel insurance with my Halifax account, I still had to give them a call and tell them of my pre-existing medical conditions and was charged extra.
I've also used Insure and Go one year and the following year the price I was quoted more then doubled.

we did a lot of searching and found insure and go the best.a questionaire needs to be filled in but we found after filling it in the quote was only about £85.00 for a family of four to america for 2 weeks this year.they send a card to carry and a declaration with your medical condition on it,so very easy to carry and very easy to understand.hope this helps.
