I'd endorse what others have said. DVLA and insurers both helpful and whilst it's a three year licence it's still a full licence. Premium wasn't raised (above what it already was) even though my car has performance tweaks. Also Avis have said hiring a car not a problem which is good news.

Hi I agree with what everyone has said about Driving and the DVLA ..

My husband continued driving for 4 years after he had been diagnosed with Parkinsons .. We already had an automatic car thankfully , his foot would sometimes slip of the accelerator but his reactions were still good , but gradually I became aware that his spacial awareness was becoming impaired and it wasn't appent to him . I do not drive myself so on top of having to tell him that I thought it was becoming unsafe for him to drive for much longer , a nice or easy thing to have to do , I knew what an enormousdifference it would make to my own lyfestyle .

If you sometimes bump into doorways as you go through them that is your spacial awareness so please take heed ..
I do not wish to alarm anyone just draw attention to it .
Although not easy we have both become used to living without a car , we use the money saved by using taxi's ..
