Someone brought to our house a wii fit,
It measured and weighed me a bit.
It tested my balance and skill,
And found that my posture was ill.
It told me an unhappy tale
With high body mass, I must not fail
To exercise every day,
Using the wii fit way.

With their help I would reach the stage
Of having a body in line with my age!

Do you want to know what it said?
If I reveal all on here in 'slimalongalin' - will it encourage me to do something about it?

No! I doubt it too. Having struggled out of bed this morning at 2am, crawled to the kitchen, heaved myself up to standing, reached for cup, milk and hot chocolate, put in microwave (all conveniently placed close to each other!) and found chocolate coated cranberry biscuits while I was waiting, I don't think there is much chance!

this wii business has me confused
we are royally not amused
it tells me my BMI
and says it is not too high
then comes the part where I'm bemused

it says if I want to be fit
I must not just pig out and sit
I need to be more active
and be much more proactive
so I go and don my gym kit

a rest after that exertion
and a cake for some diversion
I press on switch for TV
hoping no one will see me
ready for body conversion

now here comes the part where you'll see
the wii doesn't quite get PD
it tells me that I must hop
my muscles say they must stop
non-wiier I'm destined to be

The Wii and I are bestest friends
Until she informs me
That I am really 76
When I am 63.

This message makes me try again,
But then she lets me know
That I am now aged 31.
My head begins to grow.

This means that I can now relax
And leave her for a time;
But when I switch her on again
She says I’m 69.

I must keep trying ‘til she says
That I am 23;
But that means I must carry on.
She motivates, you see.

Mind or matter; matter, mind,
Who cares which should come first?
As long as we keep on the move
Old Parkie will be cursed.
