THE CONSULTANT

The trouble with these Neuros, see, is that they do not have PD;

And much as they so wisely look, they've got it all from some darned book.

But as they've never had this curse they've no idea, nor has the Nurse.

And as for my GP, one hears he's still quite wet behind the ears:

"What is," he asks, "this 'Agonist'? "I'd better ask the Pharmacist."

Who, to be fair, knows much, much more than he with nameplate on his door.

In fact, unless you've had this woe, there is no way that you can know

the strange weird horrors PD brings - you've no idea about these things.

And as it's tricky to explain, you cannot understand each pain,

Each twitch, each jerk, each body shiver running through like red hot river.

And since you cannot understand you cannot lend a helping hand.

So all you ever seem to do is up my dose by one or two.

Ignoring everything you can 'cause you know best', you're "Neuro Man".

So why is it, a decade later, I lie in bed like a potato?

Nothing that you've ever done improved my health or made life fun.

It's time to stow your Neuro suit and get a tan, you charlatan!
