Sent to me by my brother on my diagnosis at 38 years old

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine!

Life is a storm. It batters some, yet lifts others to lofty heights. It beats into submission the unfortunate and misguided. Those weather proofed to ride out the storm, well prepared and grounded, shout loud and proud their confidence, there strength, their courage. Those less fortunate, the runts of the litter.Life spared in eternal heartbreak ridiculed.Feed off the scraps of hope, which never satiates that which born of false conception.Blows through life, just like a leaf caught on the constant breeze,to drift forever lost.

Life is a storm. No matter how strong your shelter you wilst be buffeted and wizzed on from all directions.

Then someone comes to your shelter and triest to take the wizz by offering to paint your shelters roof in exchange for £'000s of your monies.

However they were beaten to it by drugs companies who took the wizz by withholding information from inserts that caused some to siphon their monies down the proverbial.

And lo it shall fall that ye shall fallest at least once a day in your attempt to go for a wizz, causing thee to spot ones trousers (that's when a kilt comes in handy).

Tune in later for further chapters on life including

Life is a pile of poo
Life is a poo sandwich
Life is a female dog and then hoe cease to exist

And many many more

Re previous post

Adendum (wasn't that des o'conner song)

"Hoe cease to exist," should read "you cease to exist"

It will have nothing to do with destroying gardening tools.

Tap, tap, tap. What's that psooty. Wel I can see that it's all over my arm.

You'll just get a jaun sheet to clean it up. Don't bother, you'll do.

(I've changed his name in case any kiddies looking up the original come across this posting)
(the p in psooty is silent)

Mariposa
splendid sentiments - your brother is quite right.Shout against the wind! Rail against the inevitable. Stick it to Dr P's little namesake. I detest the spartan's but bravery in the face of certain defeat is in some ways the finest thing (though we modern spartans keep our digits crossed for medical advances. we don' go looking for persian hordes.)
We will fight them on the beaches trying to get into our swimming costume, we will fight them in Tesco's at the checkout trying to get change, we will fight them in the hospital bed trying to get one more breath (turned a bit serious there).

The trouble is the fifth column undermining our will.

BUT UNTIL THEN
Stiffen the soos, sweep up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favoured rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect

One Psooty on the hand is worth two in the bush.

Meaning: It is better to have your hand up an imaginary friends back than to have two imaginary friends lying around in some shrubbery.
