If you feel that your journey
To be yours and yours only
Remember those who have gone before
Think of those yet to go through that door

If you have it in your heart
Some comfort to impart
Then you may believe it to be known
Truely, you will never walk alone

TO ALL WHO COME TO THIS CORNER

Titan, complex, dark but very caring
Eck is the one who is so daring
with good humour and a curse
Dear Lin is the lovely lady of verse
Bogman I seem to think is a sensitive soul
One who gives more, cos that is his goal
Marcel a genius in this corner of rhyme
AB so lovely, if I dare say, a Ray of Sunshine
Radar47 is an angel from heaven

Then there is Pebble who sometimes drops us a line
as long as she continues then that is fine
And now it is turnip what can I say
when Eck is here you come out to play
Angel4u she comes and goes and refuses to be old
Likes a Gin or so I've been told

Lorna seems to be so strong even when things are going wrong
Last but not least BJS, if this makes any sense
Dow prejudge us think weem dense
Certainly not!!

Angel4u I like a Gin alsosmile

PB, I feel the need to assure you
AB is not RoS's pseudonym
Not that I mind the connection
Many's the time I have needed correction
And could always rely upon RoS's direction

You'll never walk alone

Molly is the dog for us,
Barking loudly at the big red bus,
Barking loudly at the tractors too,
Barking loudly saying who are you.

Molly is the dog for us,
Lying peacefully without a fuss,
Kissing us with her so long tongue,
Loving us all, old or young.

Molly is the dog for us,
Or rather that is what she was.
Now she's in Heaven, gnawing a bone-
Molly, you'll never walk alone.
RIP

Marvellous - very inventive. Might start collecting favourites again. Have you got your book turnip or are we still waltzing?

How about 'still waltzing' as a challenge?

You'll never walk alone they say
But on occasions our shuffles may
feel more than lone and solo see
Sometimes just feels like me
Is this mere selfishness?
Or just response to life's mess.

They tell us that we wont die
But the fail to mention cry
Some in sorrow some despair
Often when there's no one there
When the pain becomes a drag
or my spirits start to flag.

At these times I reach out
To others who wail and shout
And smile and laugh and dance and sing
As for a while it removes the sting
of the extra weight we bear
on the road when no ones there

But then we meet those who also shake
with each step they have to take
condition and treatment feel as bad
fellow travellers stop me being mad
So totter on your way never forget to say the creed

YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE OR CEDE!

This may not be such a fun rhyme
But I think this is not a crime
A waltz, a Tango even a Fandango
Beyond my limbs abilities to do
But even so, I give it my best shot
Although I know I look like a clot

Still Waltzing

Peonies bloom and roses grow,
In my garden, what a show!
Lilies white and tulips black,
Bluebells shaded at the back.
Daffy tubs and geranium pots,
Overlook forget-me-nots.
Pansies pink, wallflowers gold
Grass now flat where dog has rolled.
Dancing feet and swaying heads,
In my weed-ful flower beds.
Leaves entwine to swing as one,
Still waltzing when the sun has gone,
Synchronised, my perfumed plants,
Call the tune and beg to dance.
