Turnip’s verse is sharp as a blade
Intelligence clearly displayed

golly gosh.

By jesu sir,
but justly said
(but joking 'side
by jester sincerely
be judged similarly -
bold, just, sympathetic)

Gone(Two)
------
Gone
Are the moments once treasured
Gone
With the passage of time
Gone
Are the tears on my pillow
Gone
Are words caught on a mime

Gone
As the foundations crumble
Gone
Self respect and desire
Gone
View a future of bleakness
Gone
Nothing left to inspire

Gone
Each day that had structure
Gone
Body and mind once both strong
Gone
Now a useless statistic
Gone
With these words,my swansong

Gone
Can no longer be bothered
Gone
Hopes,deeply churned with a plow
Gone
All those dreams left cremated
Gone
Barren Fields,fallow now

Gone
Whittled away from both ends
Gone
Leaving Nil in the middle
Gone
Those sweet tones on violin strings
Gone
Now desperate wails of a fiddle

Gone
Wasted time,wasted chances
Gone
Can,t now go back now repair
Gone
Optimism in the future
Gone
Is there a future there

Gone
Words redundant mean nothing
Gone
Anything attempted is to
Gone
Any plans which have meaning
Gone
Nothing more here to do

Gone
As the keyboards tap sickens
Gone
With those who let down
Gone
Replaced again with mistrust now
Gone
With his tears waves the Clown

The Prophecy

The finger points then writes upon the wall
Tracing messages meant for all
Words of flame and desire
Etched on the wall in fire!

Speaks to the chosen few
Of the things we need to do
It tells us of the eternal tract
For the world to clean up it’s act.

Love others as we might
Once in a lifetime the mystic sight
Spreads the word do your part
Show us the way to start.

The prophecy is there for all
Translated the message on the wall
By those with lips to tell the wisdom and cast the spell
Ghandi, Mandella and Theresa tell
How to heal the world, make it well

Not too late to heed the call
To love others prevent the fall
Of mankind from grace
Saviours of the human race.

So whilst you are not required
To be iconic or inspired
The fiery finger tells us all
Heed the message on the wall

Unless we live well and care
Then we should prepare
For the end is nigh
The messengers tell us why
Show the planet and your fellow man
That selfless love is the only plan

Male vs Female

Chatter chatter, natter natter
Women find it easy,
To talk about all sorts of things
That make our men folk queasy

Giving birth, why earth
Would a man join in,
It’s not as though he’ll ever know
It’ll never happen to him

Buying shoes the effects of booze
On the female psyche
Can often have the same effect
But on a man – not likely

A man must be strong you see
No sign of weakness shown
He has the role of fearless knight
Protecting house and home

But I’m sure and what’s more
I know that man can show
A gentle side, a caring heart
And even let tears flow

Male and female, women and men
Are meant to be a twosome
One to make a happy home
The other to catch things gruesome!

Would we stray too far away
From our men folk brave
Our knights in shining armour
Our guardian of the cave!

Virus

Viral infection ther's no selection
Just random chance that causes this dance
Head throbbing
Nose dripping
Grip on reality slipping
I hate colds of any hue
Always leave me feeling blue

Held fast in viral sway
just wnt this to go away
Sweats and chills
Hot yet cold
Doesn't matter what you do
When your in the grip of man flu!

Carer?

I’m not a carer (but I am)
I’m selfish, lazy
Sometimes crazy
Angry, lary
Future wary
Not your average good luck fairy
But my man’s got something scary
Can’t really help him (but I can)

I’m not a carer (but I am)
Things haven’t really gone to plan
My dreams must change
Hopes rearrange
Can sometimes feel I’m in a cage
What happens at a later stage?
I guess I’ll do the best I can
I’m not a carer (but I am)

I’m not a carer (but may be)
The future isn’t clear to me
I’m hoping for the best you see
Recovery, cure, a better me
Who ‘s always kind and coping, free
Of rage , impatience, urge to flee.
Whoever knows what’s going to be?
Certainly it isn’t me
Cos this life hasn’t gone to plan;
I’m not a carer (but I am)

Reply to Carer

You're not a carer(but you are)
To help your man you've gone far.
You've tried your best despite your fear,
To understand his needs of care.
What happens next you can't envisage;
Don't trap yourself and rant in this cage.
You now must prise apart each bar
You're not a carer (but you are)
