We can all come up to Yorkshire
It seems a friendly place
I've heard you don't lock your doors
Its also very safe
No need to go to any trouble
Just tea and a piece of cake

Yorkshire is a friendly place
You cannot be more right
Just make sure if you wear a rose
That it is definitely white.
See you then in Yorkshire soon
To chatter day and night!

Elle mac and angel, a Yorkshire welcome you'll receive,
My skill in Lemon Drizzle cake you really wont believe!
My home - a glorious county, I am very much attached
There's nowhere in the world with which it can be matched!

I hope your day is a good one, mine hasn't started yet!
A shower and some clean clothes, more presentable I'll get!
After such an effort, in a chair I'll likely flop,
So, for now this writing poems, I'm afarid will have to stop.

Hi Lin,and everybody,

A continuation,

Cloud Nine, you may have seen me there
Lurking with sad "Losers" caught in time
Then I read that "Losers" poem carefully
Where words deceptive coax the opposite sublime

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

So Lin,

I will in my opinion, like to amplify
Re poemize your"Losers"verse right here
Because far from being about "Losers"
That word should be"Winners",that's now clear.

Winners
-----------
Thinking deep alone considering everything
Missed opportunities and the past we cannot alter
That fixed smile meek in its acceptance
Hide not there in your comfort zone to falter

Being honest with yourself, your good points, only you can
With perseverance, strength and logic turn things round
Things lost, still poignant, you may sit pondering
We can shout out to the heavens, yet our words may make no sound

Even as on deaf ears,if waiting long enough and trying
Redirection of your strengths, stoically, doing what is right
For you,yourself,that tryer,winner,and believer
Will succeed instead of giving up the fight

Don,t give up,even if you feel that you yourself,or others have let you down
Hope and fate will,if you hang on in there, bring a smile now, replacing that sad frown

Hope you don,t mind Lin.
Might start a trendsmile

I don't know about cloud nine
But it's an ambition of mine
If my wish may be given
To reach the dizzy heights of seven

The Effects of Not Locking Your Door in Yorkshire

in the splendid town of keighley
we didn't lock our door
and in the night came thiefly
the Craven Cow's outpour

drunken twats who stole
a laptop and some papers
they didn't know the toll
of intoxicated capers

and in the leeds to liverpool
canal went all our stuff
because some little stupid fool
didn't know he'd had enough

the efforts by t' forensic team
was always doomed to failure
peculiar as it now must seem
next day - off to Australia

so we were rather short of dosh
and times were awfuly hard
cause the 'otel was really posh
and we'd no credit card

One of my favourite places is the town of Scarborough
I will make a picnic and we can all meet there tomorrow
Wait for me at the Esplanade I will be travelling by bus
Wearing my Clown’s shoes and a bright orange truss

What a lot of clever people. I'm off out for my lunch now - summatt and chips, I reckon!

Will be back later - keep it up (my best school ma-am voice)

Sorry to change the mood but I think this is my swan song in this place - thanks to those who have offered friendship and support but every thing has it's time.
I have had a few salutary experiences recently and frankly my soul doesn't sing any more. x BJS

What’s The Point

So can anyone tell me what’s the point
Really can’t tell any more
When made to perform like a seal so the crowds can adore
Isn’t this enough hell in which we have to dwell
Without humiliation from the rest of the world as well!

People can be cruel and harsh
Or pitying and trite
Emotional cuts are cruellest they bleed away your will
Even when you have paid your dues they present another bill
I have always been a servant and happy in the deed
But now I’m enslaved and treated without heed.

This morning dawned darkly emotions in a knot
Then the gods slapped me with full Olympian might
Whilst my heads still spinning and heart is spiralling down
I have perform for the world like Pierrot clown.

So what’s the point to this all?
I really am bemused,
Is my existence merely to keep the cruel amused.
I am not sure that I can carry on this act
Hope has exited my life and there we have a fact.

If life is now devoid of hope and you burden those who care
Is the future better if your still there?
So pondering now I continue to muse
If I leave this circus now will anybody loose!
