A few years ago I had an idea for publishing a book based on 'celebrity smells' linked to memory to raise money towards more specialist nurses.
The book contains reflections with personal examples of a particular smell to a memory. Over the last few years I have contacted and managed to collect contributions from a number of well known celebrities of an example of a pleasant smell that has left a long lasting impression linked to memories. I have also asked some branch members of Parkinson’s UK to provide examples to intersperse in the book. Contributions so far are linked with food, flowers and memories range from a childhood memory or occasion and also include snippets of places visited or where people have worked. So far no two have been the same but many give a lovely insight into a special memory.
I want to draw a link in the book with memory and smell to create a talking point to prompt discussion between people. In this busy world we are so often distracted and attention taken by so many different things, and we can miss out on our surroundings and the wonderful smells and tastes we could be experiencing and sharing. I do also appreciate that a loss of sense of smell can be an early signs of Parkinson's and the book would raise awareness of the condition.
I am struggling to come up with a title? and wondered if anyone could come up with something inspirational.
Also if this does take off - I would like some quotes as to what it means to people affected by Parkinson's in being able to raise funds to help provide more support from specialist nurses.
My inspiration for the book is my partner, diagnosed at 43 years old but who has coped magificently over the last 10 years.
thank you for any ideas forthcoming

Hi Suzie.
Well done on all your effort so far. It sounds like an interesting book.
As for inspirational titles, I myself could only think of the simple, like
Smell Our Beautiful Memories.
My daughter suggested the following:-
Remember To Follow the Scent.
Who "nose" what memories we can think of...
The Scent of Yesterday.
Making Scents of Memories.
No doubt you'll receive many suggestions. So good luck in completing your book. EM

Having been awake for a long time I misread the thread title as Smelly Celebrities
Perhaps not a good idea, it would depend on the sense of humour of the people who had contributed and could get you into a lot of trouble!
