I have had an extremely busy day and what with having a small op tomorrow I will not be able to reply until the weekend.Nothing to worry about unless the Doc's hand slips.

Wordly Walk
------------------
As we respire, kiss surfed waves on the backdraft
Pyrotechnics on display burn the skin
Disjointed,as a drunkard,think I look daft
To view external, from the internal is a sin

When eyes catch your refection caught in mid stride
In a window meant for browsing so you stop
Then stare at the stranger on the outside
An embarassed mannequin stiffly leering at the shop

Do these people who surround watch the show
Have they notice this persons dress rehearsal
Turning sidewards, frown, then think I really must go
Or be stuck forever in this dummy role reversal

The foot drags the ground as if constantly on coarse gravel
Which scrapes off the sole with ones soul
Feel the flush at each trip, when the legs quite simply can,t unravel
Full faulty shopping trolley that,s lost all control

The effort is tiring,as with each measured scuff
As with shortening cursed steps and nearing relief
The one place, the sanctuary, when enough is enough
Is in your head, front door shut, hide the grief

Then bring on the flip, the alternative trip
The ballads,wild music,soft light
Those things in the head then, just let them all rip
Can,t distinguish what's wrong or what's right

Take me,melodise me,strings play me aloft
Find that locker,in need of repair
Where emotions run cold yet the heart is too soft
Find that rhythm of life which dwells there

To read words just the once, but don,t read them at all
Buried,hidden,no need for surprises
Stack them up high in reems, build a literal wall
Star trek goes where the Brain Enterprizes

Means nothing to nobody, except to onesself
Ears listen intently and large eyes see it all
Place here and place there, blow the dust from the shelf
From the hip and the lip of recall

The words,oh! the words,are words,only words
Good and the bad,the sane and insane
Riddles with poems, whey with the curds
Each having meaning, yet get washed down the drain

Hold onto the seatbelt,as then accellerate
Grasp the nettle, the Bull by the horns
Foot to the metal before it's too late
Beware temptations though, every Rose has its thorns

With the sentences flowing all over the place
Just be true to yourself and sincere
Compliance is a concept that can be seen on the face
A huge saline peardrop released as a tear.

Clouded Minds

My mind and thoughts are often clouded
The clouds block my thoughts, make them shrouded
In unbidden actions, strange emotion
Or make us jerk makes me beserk
Causes such strange events, happening whether or not you meant.

The cumulus nimbus In the mind grow into shapes of a different kinds
They grow into misty visions which fog my brain with indecision
Candyfloss shapes grow ever darker the storm clouds gather
Crowd my head and realise with growing dread
That the tempest is coming soon, synapses fire and even spark
The light they make will not lift the dark

Sparks strike ever more, lightening seeks to even score
The forks of synapse lightening strike and cause other feelings and some I like
The clouds of impulsive actions swell as they empty they appear less fell
As the mind clears and the cloud dissipates
You mood swings become irate
Then you begin to see bloody hell this is not like me!

Sky has cleared the mind is blue all is calm what will we do
The mindscape changes from blue to red and something’s should be left unsaid
But then forms another cloud and self restriction is not allowed
Precipitation turns to ice and your words no longer nice

The storm abates once more, but damage done another score
The virginal peaks towering in my head makes me then regret what’s said
fill our minds with fear or dread close our minds
Cleanse the soul try to make the spirit whole retire to bed
Pray for cloudless sleep and ask your god your soul to keep

It will be May tomorrow - where did the last four months go?

Poetry book sounds a bit of a non- starter so I will return to my original offer. If anybody has posted a poem on here and would like to see it/them in print alongside other Creative Corner poets/poems, post it in Poetry Book (new thread about to be created). Can you limit to two or three to start with?)

I will produce a booklet IF I CAN! If there is no interest - I'll just entertain myself choosing poems I like! I will ask permission of the poet. That should keep me quiet and occupied! Poems will need to be no more than 30-35 lines long.

Hi PB

Yes, it might be an impossible task. Looking back just now to find two of my poems - I stopped to read loads of great poems written by other people.
