April at last! Only seventeen days until my Jenny comes home from her travels.

nuthin' whadya mean nuthin?
there's got to be summat!
summat Irish or boglike
summat aprilish or songlike
summat soothing or smiley.
nuthin is summat
summat is nuthin'
and in my class
nuthin was never an option!

All fools day

A day for fools must be the best thing in the world for me!
For fool I am and will always be the foolish things in life I see
An ever present ready wit is how I deal with the all the S--t.

The unwise dismiss the fool,
Think that we cannot see the way life is you see,
But who's the fool them or me?
I know how to play the fool but also beneath the jest
To enjoy your life is the test!

So come and join the days celebration
With the foolish of this nation
See that life's absurdities are for all
So lets enjoy them have a ball!
Greetings on this day of fools for one day just forget the rules
Join in with the jokes forget your troubles enjoy it folks!

For one day be a fool! go mad spend the day just being glad!!
Enjoy frivolities that cause fits of mirth
Laugh and shriek for all your worth
Doing so you may dispell any sobriety
Yell out loud and be cool for today it's good to be a fool!

I REFUSE TO BE OLD

I keep recieving letters
Care of the elderly
Im not old I keep telling them
You are only has old has you feel

I have the perfect figure
Its dropped a bit thats all
Im not has quick has i used to be
But my memories on the ball

They keep saying the brown skin patches
Are due to a lady mature
I may need new glasses
I dont see them at all

They ask me about my water works
I tell them my system is fine
I dont know if they need a plumber
If so they can have mine

They ask hows my drinking
I dont have a problem with gin
A small drop of tonic and a lemon
I always cut it reaaly thin

My eating is very healthy
At mealtimes Im really good
But I need chocolate for energy
Its not a treat Its a must

So what if I wear winciette nighties
And have a glass for my teeth by the bed
I wish they would not call me old
Ill allow them to call me that when Im d...

OLYMPIC ENDEAVOURS AND MUSING IN THE DARK!

Promethean Gifts

The burning gift of the gods the light in man's darkness
Defiant of the ruling gods deliverer thou art
Passion in the giving defiant in the act
Enraged Olympians rampage about your human pact.

Supplying man with the gifts of gods
To enlighten there existence
Helped the ancients with the lore
That one day becomes resistance

The punishment then endured for defiance
And revolution, to be chained to a rock eternally
A bloody cruel solution
To have your heart ripped out on an appointed hour
To make the point to men to bow before their power.

Defiance fermented in the hearts of men
As your suffering continued again
Your brother set to carry the world upon his back
Olympians failed to reclaim the gift by putting you on the rack

So as I sit musing here upon your gift to man
Supporting your defiance of the controlling elite
Who wished to hold the growth of man, and keep man at their feet
I cherish your rebellious gift
The gift you give is fire, a passion for our kind
Independent thought and freedom of the mind.

Promethium fire consumes what darkness brings
Helping us to see our way, and speak of many things.
So when your heart is torn asunder in defence of right
Remember Prometheus and his defiant might
Celebrate your independent thought and your right to be
Your destiny and intellectual copyright is his enduring gift
Thus the Promethean light bathes me in it’s gift!
