Hello Bogman,
I certainly remember fry's chocolate bars with different creams inside, in fact I had a couple that were gone off and wrote to the company and they sent me a complete box with about 24 bar's hence we had a real chocky day at work that day.
I can't eat it now as I put on too much weight just looking at it.
all the best

Hi Ezinda,
please please if there are going to be alterations can one of them be: to have the persons name to whom one is posting a reply on the reply bit. I regularly hit th
e button 'reply' enthusiastically and promptly forget the name of whom I am responding!

I think that what you want Chrissie is, a 'reply with quote' buttton which is the usual format on other forums that I use. It makes replying so much easier and you know who you are responding to as much they know who is replying to a post of theirs.

Hi chrissie w and benji,

Rest assured, we've certainly added this to the list of features we would like to see with the new forum. It would especially be useful to be able to pull a quote from the post you're responding to.

Regarding chocolate cake, etc.

I fear that in being too shy to respond I might have come across as ungracious. The truth is that your words made my week. Thanks!

BUT, it's worth saying that there are a lot of people here who care passionately about the work we do and the people we do it for.

If you are ever in London and get a chance, do come to one of the Parkinson's UK open days. You can find out the next one by writing to feedback (at)parkinsons.org.uk

I think you would all be heartened at what you find here.

very best wishes...

I would also like to be able to send a message to another member without my e mail address being disclosed. This is the norm on other forums I frequent, PM's, private messages, only via the forum, and is needed to maintain personal security.

I have contacted other mebers when I felt safe to do so and vice versa, BUT, that first contact, revealing your e mail address, is a great leap to take into the unknown world of possible cyber stalkers. I have experienced this on another forum, nothing to do with Parkinsons, and it is a worrying aspect of this forum. It does not need to be one of the set ups of any forum, IMO.

Hi again benji,

Yes, we are aware of this problem and that it is a a priority for members of the community. Yes, it's definitely on our list of items we would like to see with the new forum.

In the meantime, you might consider setting up an email address just for private messages from this community.

Ezinda

This is not the first time that I have mentioned what was contained in my 2 previous posts. See how beneficial a reply with quote would be?? Everyone
knows to what or whom you are referring.

Furthermore, the matter of replying to a post by a member, without your e mail address being revealed..................I have mentioned this over the years, many times, and nothing has happened. Maybe it has and, because I don't visit the site very often, I have missed the update on this matter. Please tell me that this at least has been sorted.

This thread had been running for over 6 months!

When will the requests on here be addressed???

Is this yet another thread that leads nowhere and with no result?

Hi benji,

I know that you’ve mentioned these issues before. And that hasn’t fallen on deaf ears.

Do take a look back at the posts from our Head of Digital. You might have been away from the community when these were posted.

They discuss the upcoming changes to the forum and website. We’ve done a great deal of research and these concerns (including yours!) have been a part of that process. You can find the thread here http://bit.ly/HQvQYx

It is true that it will take a bit of time because, as Liz says in the post, we want to get it right. But, in the meantime, I do hope you feel reassured that your concerns are being heard.

I hope it helps.
